Chernobyl - Inside the Meltdown

I worked with Peepshow on the titles and graphic sequences for the National Geographic series Chernobyl: Inside The Meltdown, marking the 40th anniversary of the disaster.

The series explores the events surrounding the reactor collapse, the Soviet response, and the lasting impact still felt today. Alongside interviews and archive, the visual work helps support the storytelling across four episodes.

My contribution focused on the 3D narrative sequences, creating slow, atmospheric shots based on eyewitness accounts and recollections. These scenes lean into mood and suggestion rather than literal reconstruction, using fog, light and scale to evoke memory and absence.

I was responsible for 3D and compositing, building environments, shaping the look, and bringing the sequences together in comp to sit cohesively within the film.
